I’m too tired to write anything about today’s speech, other than the fact that it was great to finally see Obama in person:
This morning in Michigan, Senator Obama announced a comprehensive New Energy for America plan designed to address the current energy crisis and move America towards an energy economy based on renewable resources and new technologies. In his speech, he identified our addiction to foreign oil as “central” to all of the major challenges facing us today, and called for the end of “the age of oil” in our time.
It looks like the boss and I will get to see Obama in Lansing on Monday.
I may work in a chair that only sits 10″ off the ground, but this job definitely has its perks.
I’ve been spending a lot of time in “The Creek” this week with the campaign (basically Tuesday-Saturday). It’s been exciting and tiring at the same time, but I’m definitely looking forward to a block of more than two days when I can consistently sit down and eat dinner before 9 p.m.
On a totally unrelated note, my cousin Brian was featured in the LSJ today talking about his campaign for Ingham County Commission (District 3). You can read it here. Check out Brian’s website here.
