Here they are, the top five things I’m thankful for this year:
- Getting engaged to Stefy (Episodes I, II and III)
- My new job (more here)
- Having my mom recover from her 2nd eye surgery
- Getting to see Stef graduate from Michigan State
- MSU’s national championship in hockey
Honorable mentions: getting to see Paul and Rochelle tie the knot; getting to say goodbye to Sparty one last time.
So yeah, it was a pretty great year (even the sad events had a silver lining). How about everyone else — what are the things you’re most thankful for this year?

Nice list, son. Having turned 50 this year, I’m thankful for the good health I’ve enjoyed…never been a patient in a hospital! Not bad! I’m also thankful for the general well-being of my family, and for the addition of Stefy (officially!). Saying goodbye to Marty AND to Sparty this year has been tough, but I’m grateful for the time we DID have together.
