It’s been a hectic start to the week, but I mean that in a good way. We basically have 98% of the stuff out of Stef’s apartment, with just a few odds and ends left to go pick up before she has to turn in her keys next week.
Yesterday Tim and Justin came into town to help Stef move the last big items downstairs into the U-Haul truck. Of course, the worst thing we had to move was the couch, since her apartment is on the third floor, and the stairs in the front are really narrow. That meant we had to take it down the back stairs, and all the way around the building. Having three of us there made it a lot easier, but it was still a royal pain getting it down those steps. God only knows how the guys from Art Van were able to lug that thing upstairs when they originally delivered it.
So now I have a nice, new couch sitting in my living room. I’ll have to clean some things up in my office to make room for the old one, but other than that I’m pretty pleased with the new setup.
Poor Stefy somehow managed to strain her back while she was moving things on Monday, so she’s basically been out of commission for the last two days or so. She’s supposed to get a massage today, so hopefully that’ll help work all the kinks out before her trip to Las Vegas on Friday.
This weekend is looking pretty low-key. I might be going to the Folk Festival on Friday evening, but that’s not 100% yet. Other than that though, there isn’t really anything earth shattering on the agenda. Which will be kind of nice, for a change of pace.

Dude, did Stef move in?
No, but her couch did.
Re: the Folk Festival…I’ll be making announcements between performances on the City Hall Stage for a couple of hours, starting at noon, on Saturday.
Hope Stefy’s feeling better…have a great trip!
