Crazy shit like this seems to follow me:
The ground floor of the George W. Romney Building at 111 S. Capitol Ave. was evacuated after a security officer reported the package contained a suspicious “cylindrical” device at about 9:30 a.m. Workers on other floors were allowed to remain.
Michigan State Police, using a robot, determined the device was not a bomb, said Lt. Edward Hay. The 14-floor building was reopened at about 11:15 a.m. Police said they are trying to determine what the device is.
I was actually on my way out of the building when they decided to lock down the elevators, but there was a window of five minutes or so where I wondered if this would be a repeat of 7/7/05.
Turns out some old bat brought the box in and took off. We still haven’t heard the official word on what it was, but I think someone said it was a neck massager.
Clearly, it’s time to declare a War on HoMedics.
