• Draymond Green picks MSU. Izzo bags another top recruit. UM hoops left in the dust… again.

• MSU No. 46 in Rivals.com’s football preview. Hey, I’ll take a 46 finish at the end of the season if it means we accomplish one of the following: (a) beat Michigan (b) make a bowl game… any bowl game.

• Clocks help keep minds on U-M. Speaking of option (a)… I like the sound of this!

• Cleaves update. Mateen is gearing up for one more run at the NBA. I know I’ll sound like a jackass for this, but I’m still hoping he throws in the towel and comes back to East Lansing to coach with Tom and Antonio Smith. Wouldn’t it be sweet to have 2/5 of the Flintsones back on the bench?
